Xiamen Philharmonic Ochestra updated its August's hit concert , the Chinese Valentine's day concert . 19:30:00pm 16August . All you have to do is to buy the ticket and listen to the first counter tenor in China , Xiao Ma.

Got the news from Whatsonxiamen.com , The 5th Gulangyu Piano Festival & National Youth Piano Competition kicked off 26th July to 4th August.
9 concerts will be held during the piano festival. According to the organizing committee, they will give out 660 free tickets to the public.

For August , in Xiamen there will be one more exciting concert to attend , that is the Chinese Valentine's Day Concert , August 15 .
It was such a beautiful story about two lovers who has only a chance to meet each other on 7th of July of Lunar Calendar as a punishment to against lord of earth. The day happens to fall on 16th Aug this year and the concert is on 15th of Aug. There are so many wonderful lover's solos here , the most important , is Xiao Ma, the first countertenor of China. He is someone many of you may know him from his popular video clips on the internet, in particularly, the piece he palyed as Cherubino in a modern version of Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (the Marriage of Figaro). 'He is the national treasure of China,' commented The Chicago Tribune.

There shouldn't be any complaint , all the best has been arranged . The first two are so well known to the public , can't be farmiliar any more. Tao le, the leading Violinist was giving all the way to spread out his passion , touching everyone in the concert.
I feel Zhang Guoyong's favorate is Rachmaninov：Symphony No.2 at the night , as you can smell that he put his heart and soul to express the notes into the air . Three curtain calls were taken at the end , he was moved too.
Xiamen was a music city in history , and now Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra is making her way to create a new story , Zheng Xiaoying , with Fu Renchang are the key .

Have the second chance to listen to the master class of conductor's concert on 22nd Nov, filled with Beethoven's passion , and I want to say , thank you Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, thank you , Zheng Xiao Ying.
From now on, I feel to have more time spending on concert , totally different from any stereo system in your home . Xiamen Philharmonic is the first class in China , even invited in some important occasions in the world . And the soul of Xiamen Philharmonic is Zheng Xiao Ying , she is just glamorous and admirable . A great orchestra derived from a great conductor , I strongly believe.
As Zheng Xiao Ying's saying, this first China Master Class opened in Xiamen is mainly because of her partner ,conductor Fu Ren Chang , the vice Director of Xiamen Philharmonic. He has good relations with great conductor teachers in the world and since April 2005 he was appointed as principal conductor by 'das sinfonie orchester berlin'. He is one of those musicians who can conduct in the famous Philharmonie Hall Berlin. I met him for the first time in Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen when Prof. Panula stayed in Millennium Xiamen, he was such a man of scholars ,homour and passion for music.
The master class concert is over, but the passion has just begun ...
14th November , Watching the The first Xiamen (China) International Master Class in Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra Concert Hall, under the supervision of Prof. Jorma Panula, one of the most widely recognized and admired teaching conductors. It was really world class , a true feast of symphony , most of the pieces are from German-Austrian series composors .
It is our honor to have Prof. Jorma Panula stay in our hotel ( Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen ). Such a nice man, graceful , kind, all the staff love him ...
He was happy at the concert spot and the best female conductor of China , Prof. Zheng Xiao Ying also attended the concert . Both of them are great , humble , modest , they stayed at the side of the stage giving away all the sparkling and honor to their students.( see the last picture ,right corner)
Next concert will be on 22nd of November , I won't miss that ...

Jorma Panula is one of the most widely recognized and admired teaching conductors today. Many of the contemporary young famous conductors benefit from his guidance.
The great names include Esa-Pekka Salonen (Music Director, Los Angeles Philharmonic), Jukka-Pekka Saraste (Music Director, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra),
Osmo Vänska (Music Director, Minnesota Orchestra),
Niklas Villen, Petri Sakari, Ari Rasilainen, Tuomas Ollila, Sakari Oramo (succeeded Simon Rattle in Birmingham,England),
Mikko Franck (Music Director, Belgian National Orchestra).
Maestro Panula was a professor of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki from 1973 to 1993 and taught at the Stockholm Royal Academy and Copenhagen Royal Academy. He was the principal conductor of the Helsinki Philharmonic, and from 1963 to 1997 he served as artistic director of the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra of Finland and the Aarhus Symphony of Denmark. Today Maestro Panula works as a guest conductor and trains conductors all over the world, including the United States, Russia, Sweden, Italy, Spain, France and Australia. He is also invited to be a jury member for many international conducting competitions.
